Prepare to embark on a mesmerising journey through light and sound as Luxmuralis presents “Scriptorium: The Illuminated Histories” – an awe-inspiring light and sound installation set within the majestic walls of Rochester Cathedral.
Drawing inspiration from the illuminated manuscripts of the Anglo-Saxon era, “Scriptorium” transports viewers into a world of timeless beauty and enchantment. Intricately crafted pages comes to life in vivid detail, as dynamic projections illuminate nearly every part of Rochester Cathedral with a symphony of colour, light, and sound. From breathtaking depictions of biblical scenes to intricate Anglo Saxon motifs, dragons, knights and beasts will fill every inch of the Cathedral as it is adorned with the luminous glow of history.
The show has been created by award winning artistic collaboration ‘Luxmuralis’, Peter Walker Sculptor and David Harper Composer.
